Bahrain condemns ISIS attack in Palmyra, reaffirms solidarity with Syria

Manama, Dec. 14 (SANA) Bahrain strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted Syrian and U.S. forces near Palmyra in Homs on Saturday, resulting in several casualties and injuries.

In a statement issued by the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs and published Sunday by the country’s official news agency, BNA, the ministry expressed Bahrain’s solidarity with Syria and the United States, reaffirming its firm rejection of all forms of terrorism that threaten Syria’s security and stability.

The ministry conveyed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Syrian and U.S. governments, as well as to the families of the victims, and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.

Syrian and U.S. forces came under attack on Saturday while conducting a joint patrol near Palmyra, resulting in the deaths of two U.S. soldiers and a civilian interpreter, and injuring two Syrian security personnel.
