Syria engages with global Tech firms at Web Summit Qatar

Doha, Feb.3 (SANA) A delegation representing the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Minister of Information Hamza al-Mustafa, participated in a dialogue session with Qatar’s Government Communications Office and Meta, as part of Web Summit Qatar 2026 held in Doha.

The delegation also conducted a field tour of the Web Summit exhibition halls in Doha, visiting the pavilions of several major global technology companies, including Google, Microsoft, and Snapchat. During the tour, the delegation reviewed the latest solutions and innovations in the fields of digital media and modern technologies.

The significance of this participation lies in building and strengthening relations between Syrian media institutions and global technology companies, in a manner that positively contributes to developing Syria’s media landscape, safeguarding the digital space, and enhancing community engagement.
