Daraa, Jan. 29 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces shelled areas in western Daraa and the northern countryside of Quneitra on Thursday with artillery fire, without causing casualties, according to SANA correspondents.
SANA reporter in Daraa said Israeli forces targeted the area between the villages of Abidin and Maariya with three artillery shells that landed in open farmland between the two communities and caused no human losses.
In Quneitra, SANA correspondent reported that three shells struck agricultural land on the outskirts of the town of Jabata al-Khashab in the northern countryside, also without injuries.
Israel has continued what Syrian officials describe as violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions in southern Syria, along with raids, arrests, and the destruction of agricultural land.
Syria has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law. Damascus has called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities, deter such practices, and compel a full withdrawal from the south.
