Syrian Minister of Awqaf Mohammed Abu al-Khair Shukri met with Qatari Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Sheikh Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim in Doha, Qatar for talks on ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of endowments, Islamic preaching, and religious education.
Both sides stressed the importance of enhancing brotherly relations between Syria and Qatar in religious and cultural fields. They also underscored the need to exchange expertise to develop administrative and preaching work.
The visit comes within the framework of the Syrian Ministry of Awqaf’s plan to boost cooperation and coordination with ministries of endowments in brotherly Arab and Islamic states.
