Security Forces in Lattakia Arrest Former Regime Officer

The Internal Security Command in Lattakia province has arrested Qusai Ibrahim, a former commander of the so-called “Jabal Nabi Younis Summit Battalion,” according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior .

Ibrahim is accused of leading military operations in the region in 2012 and committing serious violations against civilians, including arbitrary detention and torture. He is also alleged to have been involved in violent incidents in the coastal region.

The ministry said the arrest is part of ongoing efforts by Syrian authorities to eliminate individuals linked to terrorism and crimes against civilians from the area.
