Latakia, SANA-The Internal Security Command in Latakia Governorate, in cooperation with the Counterterrorism Branch, carried out a precise security operation that led to the arrest of the criminal Mohammad Shafiq Shamlas, a member of outlawed groups.
The Interior Ministry stated that the arrested individual was involved in assassination crimes targeting members of the Internal Security Forces, in addition to participating in terrorist operations that targeted sites affiliated with the Ministry of Defense.
The ministry stressed that the arrested individual has been transferred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against him.
