Syrian-Chinese business Council celebrates the first anniversary of Liberation

Beijing, Dec.9 (SANA) – The Syrian-Chinese Business Council organized a national event in Tongxiang City, Jiaxing Province, to commemorate the first anniversary of the country’s liberation from the decades-long rule of the deposed regime.

The event witnessed wide participation from members of the Syrian community, as well as Arabs and Chinese citizens.

It included artistic performances, patriotic songs and recitation of poems glorifying this historic day. It also witnessed a strong sense of national pride and widespread engagement.

In his address at the event, Fadi al-Muhaimid, Chairman of the Syrian-Chinese Business Council, affirmed that China is a partner that understands the true meaning of renaissance.

He stated that the Chinese experience in industrial nation-building serves as a source of inspiration and important lessons for the new Syria. Al-Muhaimid noted that the relationship between the two countries is a strategic partnership that lays the foundation for a new era of factories, projects and investments

For his part, Adel Al-Shummari, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in a video message from Damascus, praised the celebrations held by Syrians abroad, emphasizing the Ministry’s support for all initiatives that preserve the memory of liberation and commemorate the victory.
