Rome, May 14 (SANA) Inter Milan completed a domestic double on Wednesday after beating Lazio 2-0 to win the Coppa Italia, adding to their Serie A title.
It is the first league and cup double since 2010, when Inter also won the treble under José Mourinho.
Inter took the lead in the 14th minute after Adam Marušić turned Federico Dimarco’s corner into his own net. Lautaro Martínez added a second from close range after Denzel Dumfries set up the goal.
Coach Cristian Chivu, in his first season in charge, is a member of the 2010 treble-winning squad.
Captain Martínez praised Chivu, saying: “Ten out of 10,” and described the season as “very important” after a difficult start last year.
Inter had also beaten Lazio 3-0 in Serie A on Saturday in the same stadium.
