Aleppo, April 19 (SANA) Al-Nawair defeated hosts al-Shabiba 70–63 in Aleppo on Saturday in the sixth round of the second phase of the Syrian Men’s Basketball League.
The game remained closely contested, with both sides exchanging the lead throughout. Al-Shabiba held a narrow 32–31 advantage at halftime, but al-Nawair pulled ahead in the second half, securing the win with a strong finish in the final two quarters.
The victory lifts al-Nawair to second place in the standings with 23 points, while al-Shabiba stays fifth with 21 points.
The round opened on Friday with two matches, as Homs al-Fidaa defeated Ahli Aleppo 76–69, and al-Hurriya beat al-Thawra 97–68.
