Homs, April 20 (SANA) Al-Karamah secured a hard-fought 83–74 victory over Al-Jaish on Sunday to advance to the next stage of the Syrian Men’s Basketball League.
The match, played at Ghazwan Abu Zaid Hall in Homs, saw Al-Jaish start strongly, using accurate three-point shooting to take a 26–16 lead in the first quarter and extend it to 41–31 by halftime.
Al-Karamah responded after the break with improved defense and ball control, narrowing the gap before taking a 56–55 lead at the end of the third quarter.
In the final period, Al-Karamah maintained momentum and delivered a decisive late push, scoring nine points in the last 40 seconds to seal the win.
The result overturns their 78–73 first-leg defeat to Al-Jaish and secures Al-Karamah a place among the top six teams advancing in the league standings.
