Riyadh, Jan. 12 (SANA) Vietnam and Jordan have qualified for the quarterfinals of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup, currently taking place in Saudi Arabia. Vietnam secured its spot by defeating Saudi Arabia 1-0, while Jordan advanced with a 1-0 win over Kyrgyzstan in the third round of the group stage.
Vietnam finished at the top of Group A with 9 points, followed by Jordan in second place with 6 points, both progressing to the next stage.
Four matches are scheduled on Tuesday for Groups B and C: Iran vs. Lebanon, Uzbekistan vs. South Korea, Japan vs. Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates vs. Syria.
