Syria beats Myanmar with 5–1 in Asian Cup Qualifiers

Syria’s men’s national football team delivered a commanding performance against Myanmar, securing a 5–1 victory in their third-round match of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

The match, held as part of Group E competition, saw Syria assert early dominance, with three goals scored in the first half. The team-maintained pressure throughout the second half, adding two more goals to seal the win. Myanmar managed to score a consolation goal, but it wasn’t enough to shift the momentum.

With this result, Syria now tops Group E, continuing its unbeaten run in the qualifiers. The win boosts Syria’s chances of advancing to the next stage and reflects the team’s growing cohesion and tactical discipline.

The match also highlighted standout performances from Syria’s attacking line, with several players contributing to the score sheet. Fans and analysts alike praised the team’s aggressive play and solid defense.

Syria will next face Myanmar again on October 14, in the return leg of the qualifiersز
