Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa discussed on Sunday with Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), potential areas of cooperation aimed at supporting Syria’s economic development.
The meeting, held at the Fund’s headquarters in Washington, was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, along with senior IMF officials.
The discussions focused on possible frameworks for collaboration between Syria and the IMF to enhance growth and promote economic reform.
President al-Sharaa has arrived in the USA on an official visit today. He is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump on Monday, November 10 , at the White House.
