Ministry of Defense: Targeted SDF locations in Aleppo’s neighborhoods to be announced

Aleppo, Jan. 8 (SANA) The Operations Command of the Syrian Arab Army said on Thursday it will announce, via the Syrian al-Ekhbariah TV channel and platforms, the locations of the SDF organization that will be targeted in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh.

The Command told SANA that these sites “have been converted by the SDF organization into military headquarters, firing positions, and launch points for operations” against the neighborhoods and residents of Aleppo.

The Command urged residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh to stay away from all SDF sites, particularly those that will be announced later.

Earlier Thursday, the Command said it will launch concentrated operations against SDF organization positions in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zeid after 1:30 PM.

The command also announced a curfew in the neighborhoods, effective from 1:30 PM until further notice.

The Aleppo governorate has extended the exit period of civilians and families trapped in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods until 1:00 p.m. Thursday.

SDF organization has been targeting residential neighborhoods in Aleppo for the past three days, killing three civilians, including two women, and injuring 27 others, including two children.
