Damascus, Aug. 7 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Republic on Friday strongly condemned attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against civilian infrastructure in the Najran region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saying the assault, which injured several civilians, constituted a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and threatened its security and stability.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reaffirmed, in a statement, Syria’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
On Thursday, Brig. Gen. Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, said 11 civilians were injured in Houthi attacks involving indiscriminate projectiles targeting civilian sites.
