Brussels, May.11 (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani said that Syria participated on Monday in the launch of the high-level political dialogue with European partners in Brussels, describing the move as an important step toward inaugurating a new phase of relations and cooperation based on mutual respect and shared interests.
Al-Shaibani stated that the dialogue carries significant importance for Syria at the current stage, particularly as the country advances into a phase of economic recovery and partnership-building following the lifting of sanctions.
He added that the process would pave the way for new prospects for revitalizing the Syrian market, attracting investment, and supporting reconstruction and development efforts.
The minister further stressed that the dialogue would contribute to consolidating Syria’s position as a key partner of the European Union in the region, citing its pivotal geopolitical and geographic location and its natural role as an economic and trade link between East and West.
