Amman, April 17 (SANA) Jordan’s King Abdullah II congratulated President Ahmad al-Sharaa on Syria’s Independence Day anniversary.
According to Jordan’s Petra news agency, the King sent a message expressing his warm congratulations and sincere brotherly sentiments, wishing President al-Sharaa good health and the Syrian people continued progress and prosperity.
Syria marks Independence Day on April 17 each year, commemorating the withdrawal of the last French soldier in 1946, which ended the French occupation that began in 1920.
