Ankara, March 20 (SANA) The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong condemnation on Friday regarding the Israeli aggression that targeted military infrastructure in southern Syria earlier today, labeling the move a “dangerous escalation” in the region.
In an official statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry called upon the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in halting Israeli attacks. Ankara emphasized that these strikes constitute a flagrant violation of international law, as well as the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic. In this context, the Ministry stressed the critical importance of adhering to and implementing the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
The Ministry expressed Turkey’s full solidarity with Syria and its people, supporting all efforts aimed at establishing lasting stability and security based on the country’s regional safety, unity, and national sovereignty.
The Israeli occupation carried out the aggression on military infrastructure in southern Syria today, marking a continuation of its frequent breaches of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
