Damascus, March 20 (SANA) The Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned on Friday the “brutal Israeli attack” targeting military infrastructure in southern Syria, considering it a flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the UN Charter, and a blatant attack on Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In an official statement, the ministry said that this attack represents a clear extension of the escalation policy pursued by the “Israeli occupation,” noting that it comes “under flimsy pretexts and fabricated excuses,” within the framework of continued interference in Syrian internal affairs aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the region.
The Foreign Ministry held Israel fully responsible for the repercussions of this dangerous escalation, calling on the international community, particularly the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and take action to put an end to what it described as the ongoing policies of aggression and threats practiced by Israel against Syria and the entire region.
