A delegation from Syria’s Ministry of Interior visited the Qatar Police Academy on the sidelines of the 14th Arab Conference of Heads of Security Training and Rehabilitation Institutions, held in Doha. The delegation included Hussein Salman, Director of the Department of Rehabilitation and Training, and Brigadier General Maher Marai, Director of the Police College.
The officials were received by President of the Police Academy Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Majid Al Shaheen, who led them on a comprehensive tour of the institution’s educational and training facilities.
During the visit, the delegation observed a range of academic and field training programs, including military exercises by cadets and participants in the “Police of Tomorrow” initiative. They also toured the Academy’s sports and fitness facilities, as well as specialized programs designed to prepare future security personnel.
The visit underscored the Syrian Interior Ministry’s commitment to strengthening Arab cooperation in the field of security and law enforcement, and to enhancing the capabilities of its personnel through the exchange of expertise and best practices.
