Beirut, Aug 15 (SANA) Seven people were killed and three others injured early Saturday after an Israeli airstrike hit a house on the outskirts of Ansar town in southern Lebanon, completely destroying it.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Lebanese ambulance and civil defense teams were continuing to clear the rubble, recover the victims’ bodies and provide medical assistance to the injured before transporting them to hospitals in the city of Nabatieh.
The agency said the house, located on the outskirts of the town, was targeted from the direction of Zarariyeh.
Two people were injured last Tuesday in an Israeli drone strike in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, while an ambulance was damaged as its crew was heading to treat the injured.
On June 26, Lebanon and Israel reached a framework agreement that primarily provides for the disarmament of armed groups not affiliated with the Lebanese state, the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from areas they had entered in southern Lebanon, and the deployment of the Lebanese Army, initially in two pilot areas.
