Cairo Sept.03 (SANA)  The Arab League strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait in the Middle East, warning in a written statement issued Wednesday, Sept. 02, that the latest escalation threatens state sovereignty and regional security.

The General Secretariat of the Arab League said the renewed attacks constitute a serious violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted states and pose a direct threat to regional security and stability. It warned that the escalation could again broaden the scope of the conflict.

The League said continued escalation threatens not only the security of Arab Gulf states but the wider regional security framework, while undermining de-escalation efforts and attempts to open political channels to address the crisis.

It expressed full solidarity with Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait and supported their right to safeguard their sovereignty and territorial integrity, protect their national security and take measures they consider legitimate under international law in response to threats or attacks.

The Arab League called for an immediate halt to the attacks, restraint and the avoidance of steps that could widen the confrontation.

It reiterated the need to restore negotiations and the political track as a means of ending the cycle of escalation and establishing sustainable foundations for regional security and stability.

The condemnation comes amid heightened regional tensions following recent Iranian attacks targeting several countries, with Arab and international warnings about the security consequences of a widening confrontation.
