Beirut, Aug. 16 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces carried out further attacks on towns and villages in southern Lebanon overnight, after an earlier strike on Saturday killed 13 people and wounded 14 others, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported.
The agency said Israeli forces demolished a site in the town of Tallousa in Marjayoun district, Nabatieh Governorate, while an Israeli drone strike targeted the outskirts of Mansouri in Tyre district.
Israeli forces also destroyed a site in Bint Jbeil and shelled the town of Srebbine in Nabatieh Governorate, while artillery fire targeted the towns of Baraachit and Mansouri in Bint Jbeil district, according to the agency.
The report added that Israeli forces demolished two sites in Taybeh, where blasting operations continued, while artillery shelling hit the outskirts of Wadi Zibqin in Tyre district.
The attacks followed a strike on a house in Nabatieh district that Lebanon’s Health Ministry said killed 13 people and wounded 14 others.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the attacks, saying they sent a clear message regarding the negotiation process and U.S.-backed efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement.
