Washington, June 01 (SANA) The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said Monday that its forces intercepted two Iranian ballistic missiles aimed at American troops deployed in Kuwait.
In a post on X, CENTCOM said the interception took place at around 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time, when U.S. forces successfully shot down the missiles before they reached their target.
It confirmed that no casualties were reported among U.S. personnel following the incident.
CENTCOM added that it remains vigilant and will continue to protect its forces from any Iranian aggression while supporting efforts to maintain the ceasefire.
