Beirut, May 31 (SANA) At least 11 people were killed and 20 others wounded in Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas in southern Lebanon on Sunday, according to Lebanese medical and local sources.
Eight people were killed and 16 wounded in overnight strikes on a residential neighborhood in Deir el-Zahrani. Two others were killed in a drone strike on al-Sharqiyah, while one person was killed and another wounded in a strike on the Ayn al-Jamal area in Zebdine.
The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that 12 employees of Hiram Hospital in Tyre sustained minor injuries when an airstrike struck near the facility. The attack also damaged the hospital and destroyed nearby vehicles, while four injured civilians were admitted for treatment.
Israeli warplanes also carried out airstrikes on Yahmar al-Shaqif, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Zifta, Shoukin, Mayfadoun, Sir al-Gharbiya and areas around Nabatieh. In Ansar, three people, including two children, were wounded when an airstrike hit a residential building, while artillery shelling was reported in Kfar Rumman and the al-Bayad neighborhood of Nabatieh.
