Washington, March 9 (SANA) The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Sunday that the number of American soldiers killed in the ongoing conflict with Iran has risen to seven, following the death of a service member who succumbed to severe injuries sustained during Iranian missile attacks targeting military sites in the region earlier this month.
In a statement published on its official website, CENTCOM said the soldier passed away on Saturday night due to critical wounds suffered on 1 March during an attack that targeted U.S. forces in Saudi Arabia.
Iran continues to launch missile and drone attacks on several Arab countries, causing casualties and material damage, in response to the U.S.–Israeli strikes that began on Saturday and resulted in deaths, injuries, and extensive infrastructure damage inside Iran.
