Beirut, May 25 (SANA) Israeli air strikes killed at least 18 people and wounded 21 others in southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa Valley on Sunday, Lebanese health authorities said, as the death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 rose to 3,151.
Lebanon’s National News Agency quoted the Health Ministry’s Emergency Operations Center as saying that two people, including a paramedic, were killed and 10 others wounded in strikes targeting the town of Arabsalim in the Nabatieh district.
Another strike hit a civil defense center in Nabatieh city, completely destroying the facility, state media reported.
Earlier on Sunday, Lebanese authorities said 16 people had been killed and 11 wounded in separate Israeli strikes across southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa region.
The Health Ministry said the total number of wounded since March 2 had reached 9,571.
In a statement, the ministry condemned repeated Israeli attacks on healthcare and emergency response facilities in southern Lebanon, saying they violated international humanitarian law protecting medical and rescue workers.
