Beirut, April 4 (SANA) Several people were killed or wounded on Saturday as Israeli warplanes intensified airstrikes across southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa Valley, causing significant damage to infrastructure and civilian property.
According to the National News Agency, an Israeli drone strike targeted a motorcycle on the Qadmous road north of Tyre, killing two people.
Airstrikes also hit areas between Bafliyeh and Shaabiyeh, cutting off the main road, while in Maarakeh town , ten people were injured, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health Emergency Operations Center.
Further raids struck areas between Burj al-Shamali and Al-Housh, as well as Tayr Debba and Abbassiyeh. In Mansouri, three civil defense personnel were injured during rescue operations.
Israeli warplanes also targeted Tebnine and Burj al-Shamali, while strikes damaged fishing boats at Tyre port and partially destroyed the Lebanese-Italian hospital in al-Housh.
The Emergency Operations Center reported that 11 people were injured in al-Housh, including three paramedics.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said on Thursday that the total death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 1,318, with 3,935 wounded.
