Beirut, April 28 (SANA) At least four people were killed and 51 others injured in Israeli strikes targeting areas in southern Lebanon on Monday, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

The ministry said a woman was among those killed, while the injured included three children and six women.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli warplanes struck Majdal Zoun in Tyre district. Israeli forces also carried out demolition operations in Hanin and detonated explosives in Chihine.

Additional airstrikes hit Hadatha, Braachit and Haris. In Nabatieh district, artillery shelling struck the Alman-Ech Choumariye area, while another strike targeted the area between Qana and Siddiqine.

Lebanese official figures show that more than 2,520 people have been killed, over 7,800 injured and at least 1.6 million displaced since Israeli attacks escalated across Lebanon on March 2.

A 10-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel took effect on April 17, but Lebanese officials say Israel has repeatedly violated the agreement.

US President Donald Trump said Thursday that Lebanon and Israel agreed to extend the truce by three weeks after a second round of talks in Washington.
