Trump signals slow and meticulous approach to finalizing Iran deal
US-Iran negotiations advance amid Hormuz reopening talks

Washington, May 24 (SANA) US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner, noting that he had instructed American negotiators to proceed cautiously and avoid rushing into a final agreement.

In a post published on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the naval blockade imposed on Iran will remain fully in effect until a final agreement is officially approved and signed.

The US president stressed that both the American and Iranian sides should allow sufficient time for negotiations to reach a comprehensive and carefully crafted agreement, warning that the current stage leaves no room for mistakes.

Trump also said the relation between the United States and Iran is moving toward greater professionalism and effectiveness, while emphasizing that Tehran must clearly understand that it will not be permitted to develop or produce any nuclear weapon or bomb.

Earlier on Sunday, Trump announced that a preliminary agreement had been reached with Iran to end the war in the Middle East, including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, adding that the final details of the deal remain under discussion and would be announced soon.
