Beijing, May 19 (SANA) Russian President Vladimir Putin began a state visit to China on Tuesday at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, as quoted by Xinhua.
The two presidents are expected to exchange views on cooperation across various fields and on regional and international issues of mutual concern. A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said both sides will use the visit to further strengthen China-Russia relations and inject greater stability and positive momentum into the world.
The visit coincides with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia Strategic Coordination Partnership and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation between the two countries.
