Abu Dhabi, May 8 (SANA) The United Arab Emirates said Friday that its air defense systems intercepted a number of Iranian ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones launched toward the country.
In a statement published on the Defense Ministry’s account on X, the ministry said air defense units had successfully engaged and intercepted the incoming threats.
The ministry added that sounds heard across several areas of the UAE were caused by air defense systems responding to the attack.
