Beirut, May. 10 (SANA) The Lebanese Red Cross announced that its emergency response teams managed to recover the bodies of five people who were killed in recent Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported on Sunday that rescue teams from the Nabatieh branch of the Lebanese Red Cross, after more than nine days of waiting to obtain permission to access the area, succeeded in retrieving the bodies of a Syrian family consisting of a father, mother, and their son.
The family had remained inside a vehicle targeted days earlier on the Mifdoun–Zawtar–Wadi Kafardjal road, while rescue crews were prevented from reaching the site throughout the past days.
The Lebanese Red Cross teams also recovered the body of another victim killed in a drone strike targeted his farm on the Shoukin–Nabatieh al-Fawqa road.
Another body was retrieved in the town of Mifdoun, with all bodies evacuated to Al-Najda Al-Shaabiya Hospital in Nabatieh.
Earlier on Sunday, three people were killed and six others injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting towns and villages in southern Lebanon.
Israel has continues violating the ceasefire agreement since April 17, carrying out repeated attacks on Lebanese towns and villages.
