Occupied Jerusalem, April 23 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces continued operations across the West Bank, carrying out arrest raids and tightening movement restrictions through additional checkpoints.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli troops detained two Palestinians in Tulkarm after raiding their homes, and arrested another man and his two children in Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.
Forces also stormed several towns in Hebron, including Beit Ummar, Idhna, Dura and Deir Samet, searching dozens of homes and arresting 10 people, including a lawyer. Additional raids took place in Burqin near Jenin, where several additional arrests were reported.
In Husan, west of Bethlehem, an Israeli patrol struck a young Palestinian with a vehicle before detaining him; his condition remains unclear.
In the Jerusalem area, Israeli forces entered Silwan, Bir Nabala and Ras Shihadeh, though no clashes or arrests were reported.
Separately, Israeli troops blocked the Tayasir checkpoint, preventing dozens of teachers from reaching schools in the northern Jordan Valley. Local education officials said around 100 teachers were turned back after the checkpoint was fully closed.
Israeli forces also set up new military checkpoints at Aqabat Hassaneh, the main entrance to Battir, Nahalin, Husan and Wadi Fukin, stopping vehicles, inspecting IDs and restricting movement in and out of the area.
