Occupied Jerusalem, April 18 (SANA) Seventy-five members of the British Parliament have signed an urgent motion calling on the UK government to take action against Israeli authorities over plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank and continued violations of international law.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the motion condemned an Israeli decision issued in February to legalize the seizure of Palestinian land and register it as state property, describing it as unlawful and aimed at expanding land confiscation.
The motion also referred to the International Court of Justice advisory opinion issued in July 2024, which affirmed that Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories is illegal and called for its immediate end.
The MPs urged the UK to meet its international obligations by halting support that could sustain occupation and by banning trade linked to settlements in the occupied territories.
