Washington, April 15 ( SANA) Officials told the Associated Press on Wednesday that the United States and Iran have reached a preliminary agreement to extend current ceasefire.
Both Washington and Tehran agreed to prolong the truce in order to allow additional time for diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing further escalation, according to the officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Mediators moved closer to extending ceasefire between U.S. and Iran and restarting negotiations to salvage the fragile truce before it expires , on April 22nd, trying to resolve outstanding issues on top, Iran’s nuclear program, Security and navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, compensation for war related damages.
Pakistani Finance Minister, Muhammad Aurangzeb, told AP that Pakistani Government will not give up on efforts to help the United States and Iran end the conflict.
U.S. -Israeli-Iranian war has caused significant disruption to global markets and led to damage to both military and civilian infrastructure across several countries.
