Damascus, Aug. 28 (SANA) The Ministry of Economy and Industry signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia’s Ithraa Group to rehabilitate, modernise and operate the General Company for Iron and Steel Products in Hama, known as the Hama Steel Plant.
The MoU was signed during the 63rd Damascus International Fair.
SANA’s reporter said the 30-year memorandum provides for introducing modern production lines and gradually increasing the plant’s production capacity to at least 350,000 tonnes annually within four years.
