Doha, April 4 (SANA) Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held talks on Saturday with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the latest regional and international developments.
According to the Qatar News Agency, both sides stressed the need to work toward de-escalation, emphasizing political dialogue and diplomatic efforts as the most effective means to contain the current crisis in the Middle East and its impact on energy markets, supply chains, and regional energy security.
The talks also addressed bilateral relations between Qatar and Italy, with the two leaders reviewing areas of cooperation and ways to strengthen and expand ties, particularly in the economic and energy sectors.
Gulf states continue to face daily Iranian drone and missile attacks amid the ongoing U.S.–Israeli–Iranian conflict, which began on February 28 and has resulted in casualties and material damage across several regions.
