Capitals, April 2 (SANA) Amid the escalating U.S.-Israeli–Iran conflict, Tehran and its affiliated group in Lebanon, Hezbollah, continued attacks on Israel, U.S. bases and Gulf countries on Thursday, inflicting casualties and damage.
In central Israel, three Iranian missile barrages—including cluster munitions—struck multiple locations, injuring four people in Bnei Brak and causing damage to vehicles and water infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched 12 missile and drone attacks on northern Israeli military positions and settlements, claiming the operations were “in defense of Lebanon” amid ongoing Israeli aggression.
Since March 2, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have killed 1,318 people and wounded 3,935, while Israel continues to occupy parts of southern Lebanon, including areas captured in the recent 2023–2024 conflict, Lebanese authorities reported.
Iranian strikes have targeted seven Arab countries—primarily in the Gulf—firing at least 5,735 missiles and drones, including reported involvement of two fighter jets, in what Tehran calls retaliation against ongoing U.S.-Israeli aggression, according to media reports.
The heaviest attacks hit the UAE (457 missiles, 2,012 drones), Kuwait (317 missiles, 651 drones), Bahrain (186 missiles, 419 drones), Qatar (209 missiles, 96 drones, and 2 fighter jets), Saudi Arabia (65 missiles, 1,029 drones), and Jordan (275 missiles and drones combined). Oman reported 19 drone attacks, according to official sources.
These assaults, according to Tehran, are aimed at U.S. military and strategic targets, though civilian infrastructure—including airports, ports and buildings—has been affected in some countries.
The conflict highlights a widening regional confrontation, with repeated strikes across multiple fronts in Israel, Lebanon and Gulf states, raising concerns over maritime and energy security and civilian safety across the region.
