Lebanon condemns plot targeting UAE, denounces Hezbollah involvement
Lebanese government condemns a foiled terrorist plot targeting the UAE

Beirut, March 20 (SANA) Lebanon on Friday strongly condemned a terrorist plot targeting the United Arab Emirates, denouncing Hezbollah militia’s involvement in the scheme.

In a statement, Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry expressed full solidarity with the UAE and praised its security services for thwarting the plot, adding that Beirut is ready to cooperate in the investigation to identify and hold those responsible accountable.

The ministry also reiterated a 2026 government decision banning Hezbollah militia’s military and security activities.

The statement followed an announcement by the UAE Interior Ministry that it had dismantled a network backed by Hezbollah and Iran and aimed at infiltrating the country’s economy and undermining financial stability.

The developments come amid rising regional tensions, with Gulf states facing missile and drone attacks since the outbreak of the U.S.-Israeli-Iranian conflict on Feb. 28.
