Doha, March 28 (SANA) Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a phone call on Wednesday with Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani to discuss the importance of de-escalating tensions in the region and prioritizing diplomatic solutions to enhance security and stability.
According to the Qatar News Agency, the Emir stressed during the call the need to immediately halt Iranian attacks and to prevent the use of any country’s territory to threaten neighboring states, in a way that preserves regional security and avoids further escalation.
The Qatari Emir also renewed his country’s condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting several countries in the region, describing them as violations of state sovereignty and international law.
In recent weeks, Gulf countries have been subjected to Iranian attacks targeting civilian facilities, service infrastructure, and residential buildings, in the context of the ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran, now in its fourth week.
