Ankara, May 6 (SANA) Türkiye and Saudi Arabia signed a protocol Wednesday aimed at strengthening trade and investment relations between the two countries.
The agreement was signed at the conclusion of the third meeting of the Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council in Ankara, chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, according to Anadolu Agency.
The meeting focused on bilateral trade and investment relations and ways to expand economic cooperation, Türkiye’s Trade Ministry said in a statement. The two sides also signed the protocol of the second meeting of the joint committee for trade, industry, investment, infrastructure and energy cooperation.
The Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council was established in 2016 under the leadership of the two countries’ foreign ministers to oversee bilateral relations within an institutional framework. Its first meeting was held in Ankara in 2017, while the second took place in Riyadh in 2025.
