Washington, March 17 (SANA) About 200 U.S. service members were injured across seven countries during the conflict involving Iran, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Monday.
Most of the injuries were minor, and more than 180 troops have already returned to duty, CENTCOM spokesperson Tim Hawkins said, according to CNN.
Hawkins also dismissed claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that U.S. fighter jets had been destroyed, calling the reports false and saying no American aircraft had been hit.
Earlier this month, CENTCOM said the number of U.S. troops killed in the conflict had risen to eight.
