Vienna, March 25 (SANA) The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Tuesday it had been informed by Iranian authorities that a projectile struck near the Bushehr nuclear power plant, adding that no damage or injuries were reported.

In a statement posted on the platform X, the agency said the facility remains operating under normal conditions.

IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi reiterated calls for maximum restraint to prevent nuclear safety risks during ongoing tensions, according to the statement.

Earlier this month, Russia’s Foreign Ministry warned that the Bushehr plant faces potential risks due to nearby military activity and explosions, calling for measures to ensure the facility’s safety and security.
