Baghdad, March 21 (SANA) Drone strikes rattled central Baghdad on Saturday, targeting Iraq’s National Intelligence Agency headquarters and other key locations.
The attacks highlight escalating tensions in the region, as Iran, Israel and the United States remain locked in a cycle of military operations and reprisals.
Saad Maan, head of the government’s Security Media Cell, said the Intelligence Agency headquarters in the Mansour district was targeted by a drone. He added that a reconnaissance drone fell in the same area, while another struck a communications building belonging to the Iraqi Intelligence Service.
The wave of attacks comes amid ongoing tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran, with Tehran responding through missile and drone strikes on Israel and other regional targets.
