Mecca, March 9 (SANA) The Muslim World League on Monday strongly condemned the Iranian attack that targeted a residential area in al-Kharj province, southeast of Riyadh, describing it as part of Tehran’s continued aggressions against Saudi Arabia and several other countries.
The league’s Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced the attacks in a statement, describing them as violations of religious values as well as international and humanitarian laws and norms.
He added that the attacks come despite Saudi Arabia’s clear and declared position on the war and the efforts it has made to promote stability in the region.
Al-Issa reaffirmed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
Two people were killed and 12 others were injured after a “military projectile” landed in al-Kharj province, south of Riyadh, on Sunday, as Iran continues to target Gulf countries following the U.S.–Israeli attack against it.
