Ankara, March 1 (SANA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed his country’s support for resolving regional crises through diplomatic means during a phone call Sunday with Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, according to a statement from the Turkish presidency’s Communications Directorate.
Erdogan stressed that dialogue and negotiation remain the most effective path to addressing regional tensions, adding that Turkey will continue efforts to help establish a peaceful environment as soon as possible.
He also expressed concern over the Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait and conveyed his wishes for the country’s safety and stability.
Earlier Sunday, Kuwait’s Ministry of Health reported one fatality and 20 injuries, all foreign nationals, resulting from the Iranian strikes.
Kuwait, along with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Jordan, has been targeted by Iranian missile attacks following the joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
