Saudi Arabia intercepts six drones, ballistic missile targeting oil field and airbase

Riyadh, March. 7 (SANA) The official spokesperson of the Saudi Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday the interception and destruction of six drones in the Rub’ al-Khali desert heading toward the Shaybah oil field.

The spokesperson also announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched toward Prince Sultan Air Base.

Saudi authorities noted that the scope of Iranian attacks using missiles and drones has been increasing toward the Gulf states, targeting infrastructure, civilian and diplomatic buildings, in addition to energy facilities.
