Ankara, March 1 (SANA) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed regional developments in a phone call, focusing on the impact of recent Iranian attacks on several Arab countries.
Erdoğan expressed regret over the attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates and affirmed Türkiye’s solidarity with the country, Türkiye’s Communications Directorate said in a statement Sunday, according to the state-run Anadolu Agency.
The UAE Defense Ministry said earlier that its air force and air defense systems had intercepted and destroyed hundreds of Iranian ballistic missiles and drones launched toward the country since the attacks began.
The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan have been targeted by Iranian missile strikes since Saturday, following U.S.-Israeli joint strikes on Iran.
