Damascus, Mar.5 (SANA) The National Center for Curriculum Development has opened applications for educators and specialists interested in helping develop Kurdish-language curricula, the Ministry of Education said on Thursday.

According to a ministry circular, applicants must hold a university degree and a pedagogical qualification diploma, demonstrate proficiency in the Kurdish language in reading, writing and grammar, and have experience in curriculum development along with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Applications will be submitted at the center’s Administrative Development Department in Mezzeh Villas Sharqiya in Damascus between March 4 and March 12, after which documents will be evaluated before being forwarded to a central committee formed under a previous ministerial decision.

The ministry noted that the initiative follows Ministerial Decision No. 943/493 issued on Jan. 26, 2026, which tasked the center with preparing Kurdish-language curricula for all levels of education.

Work on the project commenced on Jan. 29, when a specialized committee of linguistic and educational experts from different provinces was formed.

The preparation, approval and printing process is expected to require about six months, paving the way for the curricula to be introduced at the start of the next academic year.
